Tom Wood Joins Ecurie Ecosse Blackthorn AMR for GT World Challenge Europe Including Spa 24 Hours
Ecurie Ecosse Blackthorn AMR is delighted to announce that Tom Wood will join the team for the upcoming GT World Challenge Europe season, including the prestigious TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa.
Tom joins the team as part of an expanded driver lineup for the 2026 campaign, bringing with him strong experience in GT racing and endurance competition. The programme will see him compete in selected rounds of the GT World Challenge Europe, culminating in the blue riband event of the season, the Spa 24 Hours at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
Ecurie Ecosse is one of the most historic names in international motorsport. Founded in 1951, the team achieved global recognition with back-to-back victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1956 and 1957, and has since competed across a wide range of championships including British GT, European GT racing, and international endurance events. In its modern era, the team has enjoyed multiple championship successes and race wins with Aston Martin machinery, continuing its long-standing association with the brand.
The partnership between Ecurie Ecosse and Blackthorn continues to strengthen the team’s presence in GT World Challenge Europe, with the programme focused on consistent results, endurance racing performance, and continued development of driver talent within the Aston Martin Racing environment.
